Key ElementsPrincipals - Each person in the troupe commits to learning and behaving in ways that foster safety, respect, equality, risk-taking, growth, healing, hard work, community, honesty, accountability and compassion. Power - Developing and utilizing an understanding of appropriate use of power and how to identify ones inner source of power. Each member gives themselves and each other a voice through self awareness, fellowship and group power and effective communication skills. Personal - The risk to face and speak to ones own story; to stay with ones personal issues and struggle with the reality of ones own life. To be vulnerable to being known and trusting others and accepting support from the group. To be committed to personal growth for self and others. Performance - Being active in the troupe means living and sharing a lifestyle where we "walk the talk". Together, those doing their regular work, share their performance for others; friends, family, sometimes strangers or authorities. The goal is to spread the learning through performance. We utilize commitment, sincerity and enthusiasm to help others by demonstrating both the content and process of our group life. |
